Racket Boy – An autobiography by Philip George

An End Fitting For The Start

The end of the calendar starts and we’ve celebrated our book’s one-month milestone in the market. We’re proud to announce our Malaysia publisher, Gerakbudaya, a leading publishing house in the country, announced Racket Boy’s impending Malaysia edition at the recently concluded George Town Literary Festival (GTLF).

The GTLF is an internationally acclaimed literary festival celebrating world literature, translations and literary arts. This vibrant festival is an initiative by the State Government of Penang and is Malaysia’s largest literary festival. Notably, it has earned its place as one of the best literary festivals in the world. In 2018 the festival was the winner of the London Book Fair International Excellence Awards.

The annual GTLF is held against the smouldering backdrop of the UNESCO World Heritage site of George Town, Penang, where every road and alley exudes a veritable living art gallery feel with its rich display of East-meets-West history, culture and history. Need we even mention Penang’s unmatchable selection of food?!

Geetha represented us at this year’s event and the response has been most encouraging. As we reflect on this success, we eagerly anticipate our future participation in the GTLF, armed with Racket Boy‘s line-up of events for the coming year, including the eagerly awaited Malaysian edition, the Racket Boy docufilm, and the upcoming release of Racket Boy in India. Stay tuned for more chapters of Racket Boy’s literary journey – it’s going to be an exhilarating ride!
