Racket Boy – An autobiography by Philip George

The Traveler’s Mantra: If Not You, Then Who? If Not Now, Then When?

In the walk of life, inside the hustle and bustle of daily routines, lies a call to adventure, a beckoning to explore the vast expanse of our world. In the pursuit of travel, there exists a mantra, whispered by the winds of wanderlust, guiding the footsteps of those who dare to embark on the journey:

“If not you, then who?”

Embedded within these words lies the essence of personal responsibility and agency. The world awaits the touch of your feet upon its soil, the gaze of your eyes upon its wonders. There are paths to be traversed, cultures to be embraced, and experiences to be cherished. The universe has bestowed upon each individual the gift of curiosity and the capacity for discovery. To deny oneself the opportunity to explore is to relinquish the chance to uncover the hidden treasures that await beyond the horizon.

“If not now, then when?”

Time is a fleeting companion, forever slipping through the grasp of mortal hands. In the end of existence, there exists no perfect moment, no opportune instant devoid of uncertainty. The stars may never align, and the circumstances may never be ideal. Yet, within the confines of the present lies the infinite potential for adventure and growth. The future is but a promise, uncertain and unpredictable. Seize the day, for it is the canvas upon which dreams are painted and destinies are forged. Delay not thy wanderings, for the sands of time care not for the hesitations of mortals.

Together, these two simple yet profound phrases form the cornerstone of the traveler’s creed. They serve as a reminder of the boundless opportunities that await beyond the confines of familiarity. With each step taken and each journey embarked upon, one embraces the richness of life and the diversity of humanity. So, heed the call of the road, and let these words be your guiding light amidst the darkness of the unknown:

“If not you, then who? If not now, then when?
