I’ve always dropped expectations and creature comforts to reap the benefits of nomadic travels in rugged terrains because I’ve known it to be a great opportunity to grow. That’s always been my approach to life and this Christmas in Argentina has been a reminder that Christmas isn’t just a day; it’s a frame of mind.
There was small consolation when the police managed to recover the stolen iPad, but indications pointed to them being far from the money and watch. The stress and strain of rough travelling became too much for my travel partner and she has decided to return to England.
I continue my expedition solo, ready to make a deeper connection with Argentina on my own terms, cherishing the joy that spontaneity brings, including open-air showers Malayan style using an outside tap. Bliss!
